Fandom Rocks was created in 2007 by a group of Supernatural fans as a way to bring fans together in support of a good cause. Fans are involved in every step of the process—from nominating charities, selecting charities, and serving on the board. Inspired by similar campaigns in the Firefly, Buffy, and Angel fandoms and brought together by the CW’s Supernatural, fans of the CW show are asking you to join them in supporting the charities you choose.

Fandom Rocks incorporated as a non‐for‐profit in the state of Illinois in 2007. The current board includes fans from across the United States and Canada. The board makes sure as many fans as possible are involved and informed by updating at our web site, on Livejournal, MySpace, and Facebook.

The goal of Fandom Rocks is to campaign for charities in the name of Supernatural fans – affecting change around the world, raising awareness, and hopefully drawing attention to the show that brought us all together in the first place.

Charities are nominated and voted on by fans. Every six months, we gather a list of nominated charities. Fans have the option of nominating a charity to which they feel strongly connected. We have also had the honor of supporting charities with connections to Supernatural staff and the show’s lore. The top two charities are supported during a six month campaign, and at the end of the campaign the funds raised are split equally between the two charities.

Fandom Rocks is committed to continuing charitable efforts in the name of fans. We always welcome new energy and ideas. Please feel free to contact us at any time. We look forward to future collaborations and many successful campaigns.
